Member Ticket: Dramatic Monologues with Carly-Ann Clarke (Aug 3rd)

£15.00

Monday August 3rd: 18:45-20:15 ONLINE

£15 (no booking fee)

Suited to all levels of writing experience

Monologues are a brilliant way to find your character’s voice. This workshop will be a supportive environment where we can meet new characters – giving ourselves permission to play and get writing.

A variety of writing prompts will enable you to create a character and find their voice, taking inspiration from playwrights to start unlocking our own monologues.

We’ll also explore theatrical techniques that help us toy with our audience, play with intention, and what is and isn’t revealed.

This just might be the inspiration you need for a new piece that can be performed by an actor at a Sheffield Pub Theatre event!

Tutor

Carly-Ann Clarke is an experienced theatremaker, producer and facilitator with 20 years' experience of co-creating collaborative theatre projects. Her latest project is Sheffield Pub Theatre, a bi-monthly show at the White Lion pub, where writers can submit short monologues and duologues to be performed by actors.
