About Us … in a nutshell

The Writers Workshop is a growing organisation on a mission to promote the joy and power of creative writing across our region through in-person events and further afield via online events.

We offer three types of programme, which can be viewed here:

1. Writing Spark: creative writing either from life or imagination

2. Writing Community: creative writing within particular genres or topics, and also social and live literature events

3. Writing Skills: creative writing craft classes for those writing for an audience

Writers Workshop Registry

We’re looking for wordsmiths and literary performers with something to share with the Writers Workshop community to join a registry. Joining our registry means you can pitch ideas for events/workshops to us, respond to our commission opportunities, and enjoy special rates for hire of the Workshop for your own events, too. We’re also keen to support anyone who has proven expertise in the literary world but limited experience in running workshops.
