£20.00

IN PERSON

Saturday October 10, 14:00-16:00

£20 (no booking fee)

Setting a whole novel in the past is quite a challenge. So, if you are interested in trying historical fiction, join this short story class.

In this workshop, you’ll learn about short story structure and explore ways to start writing a story set in the past, inspired by a particular period of history that interests you, or by a family history you know about.

This is suitable for writers at all levels. Please come with a historical period or event in mind or some information about a family story that interests you.

Tutor: Sally O’Reilly is a historical-fiction writer. Her most recent book is Hagtale: A Macbeth Origin Story and her work in progress is a counter-factual story set in the Elizabethan era.
