Ideal for those beginning to think more seriously about writing poetry, or those who have been writing for a while but want to explore poetry within a short-course framework, this course of four sessions covers the essentials of poetry, from why we write it to how it works.
This course will explore the rules of form and how we might keep or break them, the role of voice or the speaker in our poems, experimental or conceptual writing and how to edit our work.
Each session will include writing exercises, writing time and a chance to share work.
When 6 deposits are received, the course will be confirmed and instructions for paying the balance will be issued.
